On Tuesday June 17th, we have two interns from Norway starting work with us for the Summer '08. One is from the isle of Giske and her name is Elsebeth Giske. She is an industrial designer and will being doing work on digital mapping. The other intern Kjersti Veum is from Voss, Norway and has an amazing ability to gather user data. She'll be digging into our Aquarium project and also working with citizen journalists.

KJERSTI VEUM

Kjersti has a Bachelors degree in Travel and Tourism management from Lillehammer University College. (we have several "hammers" in the company now). She is also a collegiate skier and seems primed for digging deep into mobile audience reception practices.

Here’s her thoughts…

”Working with Untravel in the start up- phase is very interesting. As I learn more about the company, I see more and more opportunities. I hope Untravel Media is able to penetrate the American market in near future. My future vision would be to introduce Untravel Media to the Scandinavian market, and maybe get the chance to contribute to that."

ELSEBETH GISKE

Elsebeth is quickly become an expert in mobile devices and will be helping Untravel work on interaction design and marketing. Her intro:

"My name is Elsebeth Giske and I come from a little island on the west coast of Norway, called Giske. Here I usually spend my summers, close to the sea. Walking trips all over the Island and making plans for new adventures. Now I am currently working on my master degree in Industrial design. I also study at the Norwegian Entrepreneurial program, which brought me to Boston. Here I am interested in Untravel Media's development of digital and social interactivity into their tours."
